When a team folds

Void their results, keep the first half, hand out byes, or award walkovers. Ratings stay honest.

Open Teams → Edit Team and use Withdraw Team. The confirmation shows how many matches are affected. The rule can follow the league default, or you can pick a different one for this team. Reinstate Team puts them back and restores the fixtures that withdrawal changed.

How the table is rewritten

  • Expunge all results. This is the default, and the screen labels it as the EPA / BAPTO approach. Played matches against that team are marked VOID, so the points come off every opponent. Dates still to come become byes.
  • Halfway. If they have played under half their fixtures, the result is the same as expunge all. If they have played half or more, those results stay and the remaining dates become byes.
  • Freeze and byes. Everything already played stays. The rest of their dates become byes, and nobody is given points for a match that was not played.
  • Freeze and walkovers. Everything already played stays. Each remaining opponent is given a walkover win at a score you set, such as 5–0.

On the public site those matches are marked VOID, BYE, or W/O. A withdrawn team can stay at the bottom of the table with a withdrawn badge, or you can hide them.

Ratings and season awards

A bye or a walkover never moves a FargoRate, because no frame was played. Frames that were really played can stay in the rating history, which is the recommended setting, or you can rebuild ratings as if those matches never happened. Season leaderboards, including most wins and Break & Dish, can ignore frames from voided matches or keep them.

The league default lives in Settings → Team Dropouts & Rules, including the walkover score and whether withdrawn teams stay on the public table.
